I think I have made over my boy's room more times than any other room in our home.  I just got done painting their room for the 3rd time since we moved here 4 year ago. But that's okay, I think it's important to switch things up in their room as they grow older and as their interest change. But before I share the new look, I wanted to give you a quick run down at how their shared bedroom has evolved over the years,  I'm excited myself to take this little trip down memory lane 😃 When we first moved into our home in 2013 I painted one wall of their room with chalkboard paint, and then I painted the rest of the walls in a blue called, 'Soft Jazz' by Benjamin Moore. We went with a baseball theme and I had a favorite picture of each boy printed and framed to go above their beds. If not, you can see it HERE .   So as I had mentioned, the biggest change I made to their bedroom was that I debunked their bunk beds and painted them, as well as the armoire in the room, a navy blue color. So here is the before: I'm sure these beds look familiar to you just because these seem to be a standard set that are just great for growing families. We bought these bunk beds years ago at Shopko.  They have worked out just fine for our two boys, although, eventually we would like to buy something a little more solid that is designed for older boys. Until we get new beds, these ones work just fine. But I was really wanting to give them a new look  because I was getting tiered of the orange wood color and so I decided to paint them.  My boys are on their second week of the new school year.  My oldest son, Liam is in 5th Grade and my youngest son, Jaxon is in 2nd Grade. And as their mom, its been a bit hard on me. I still remember sending them off to Kindergarten like it was yesterday.  It's wonderful to see them learn and grow, but it just feel like it all goes by so quickly, which I know every single mom can relate to. Am I right? So anyway, to give my boys a fresh start for the new school year, I gave their bedroom a bit of a makeover.
