Choosing the right slipcover for our sofa

Image
Are you looking to update your sofa? If so, I'm really excited to tell you about  Comfort Works. Comfort Works makes beautiful, handmade slipcovers for Pottery Barn, Ikea, and so many other brands, models and sizes of sofas, with a large variety of fabrics and finishes to choose from. As you may know, I own the Ikea Ektorp sofa .  When I purchased my sofa, I also bought an extra white slipcover for it. And then one day I decided that I wanted to give my sofa a new look, so I dyed one of the slipcovers using a RIT dye. You can see how I did it HERE. Did you happen to catch my blog post a few weeks ago about my  Denim Sofa Love ?  I have wanted a denim sofa for years, but as you may know, I have this white  Ikea Ektorp sofa.  Okay, now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my white sofa, it's just that sometimes I want to change things up a bit, especially for the changing seasons, and denim just feels so fitting for fall. SO because I had an extra slipcover, I decided that this could be the perfect opportunity to have both, a denim/navy and a white sofa.  Win! Win! So I went to my local Albertsons and bought two bottles of Rit Navy Blue dye and two bot...

On the hunt for new curtians

Image
I am on the hunt for some new curtains for our living and dining room. We have two big windows on the front of our home and I'm growing tired of the curtains I currently have. I bought these curtains from IKEA years ago and they've been great but I would love to switch things up a bit and bring in something new. So I have been browsing all of my favorite online stores for some new curtains and I have come across some great ones that I wanted to share with you today. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these. *This post contains affiliated links.   POTTERY BARN  Let's start with my favorite.  These are the Brice Stripe indoor/outdoor drapes from Pottery Barn.  I just have a thing for stripes and so I was immediately drawn to these ones. This stripe drape also comes in a variety of different styles and colors, I really like these in the gray stripe too. If these were in my budget I would have ordered them yesterday, but $560.00+ for 4 panels is not going to happen. ...
