End Of The Month Randomness { September }

Image
As I'm cleaning up my picture files today (which I'm trying to get into the habit of doing at the end of each month) I realized that there's quite a bit of things that I didn't get around to posting about. And truthfully, this is the case at the end of every month. So many projects remain unshared for one reason or another. But because they were already potted and I wasn't about to pull my plants out, I came up with this idea to cover the plants with grocery sack...

Cleaning out my closet the (some-what) KonMari Way

Image
Have you ever thought to greet your home the minute you walked into it? Or have you thought to say thank you to your shoes for their hard work at the end of the day? Probably not, correct? So the minute after reading this book I was super pumped to start tidying up our home. The KonMari Method of tidying means to take each item you own in your hands and ask yourself whether in sparks joy in your heart and then decide on whether or not to k...

A Touch of Farmhouse Charm - My Favorite New Book

Image
I have something really special to share with you today, my beautiful and talented blogging friend, Liz, from Love Grows Wild ,  wrote a new book called, A Touch of Farmhouse Charm , and she was so kind as to send me a copy to review.  And let me just tell you, I have looked through this book at least a hundred times already.  Not only does Liz have the most beautiful farmhouse, on an actual farm I might add, she also has an amazing talent for crafting up creative farmhouse pieces for her home. In A Touch Of Farmhouse Charm, Liz shares 70 DIY projects with a list of all of the tools you will need to make each one, along with easy to follow instructions, so that you too can add a touch of farmhouse charm to every room in your own home. I already have half the book marked with projects that I want to recreate.  And In fact, I've already completed my first one. As soon as I came to this page with instructions to make this simple rustic ladder, I went out to our my Mo...
